Lisa Dawson, Personal Trainer

I have been in the fitness industry since 2003 and have studied Kinesiology at the University of Winnipeg, and hold multiple certifications through CanFitPro. I have worked with pre- and post-natal women, athletes, and candidates for the Winnipeg Police Service. However, my niche is women – specifically those seeking weight loss.

I like to think of personal training as “ tough love”, because I push each individual to his or her full physical ability.  I like to incorporate a variety of equipment in the training sessions, but my favorite tools are the BOSU and the TRX.  I maintain my own active lifestyle through strength training and outdoor running and have competed in MABBA. My upcoming fitness goal is to complete the Manitoba Half Marathon.

Little known fact: My favorite movie is Rock of Ages.
